Make an appointment to visit the Lazy Cat Lounge & Cafe cat lounge to meet the cats. Here you'll be able to interact, pet, and play with the cats to determine which cat is the right fit for you and your home.
Once you've met the cats and decided which one you want to adopt, you can fill out an application with the rescue it belongs to. We currently partner with numerous rescues, so check out the board in our cat lounge to see which one the cat belongs to, or ask us before heading out from your visit. For most of the rescues that we partner with, the application is filled out online at their website.
Once the application is submitted, the rescue will review the information provided, and call any references needed. This means landlords if you rent, vets if you have any current pets, and other references as well. This usually takes a few days to a week, depending on how quickly the references get back to the rescue. If approved, then the rescue will contact you to let you know.
The adoption fee is $200 per cat regardless of age and includes them being spayed/neutered, all their age-appropriate vaccinations including rabies and distemper, combo testing, and treatment for any fleas and worms. Many of the cats are microchipped as well.
Once the application is fully approved through the rescue, they will contact us to let us know. We then contact you to schedule a time for pickup of your new kitty! Pickups are generally scheduled for Sundays toward the end of business.
