ROC the Dogs Rescue

ROC The Dogs Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer only dog rescue organization serving only Rochester New York. We are committed and passionate about rescuing dogs locally regardless of the reasons.  We rescue dogs from our local shelters , dogs given up by their owners because of difficult circumstances, found strays, and those in danger of abuse or neglect.

Animals in our care are spayed or neutered, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement.

We are a completely volunteer organization. We provide TNVR(trap/neuter/vaccinate/return to care) program for feral, stray and abandoned cats by negotiating spay/neuter clinics at a reduced price. Participating in TNVR means colonies are cared for in the healthiest way possible also promoting good neighbor relations. We educate on the importance of TNVR as it is the ONLY proven method of population control.

Flower City Critters Small Animal Rescue is a 100% volunteer-run registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Based in Rochester, NY we are dedicated to ensuring the welfare of all small animals and placing them in loving homes.

Our organization adopts out small animals to educated & loving homes.  Flower City Critters is Rochester's only official non-profit animal rescue organization that is solely dedicated to small animals. Small animals are considered exotic pets and have fewer resources available to them.

We take in animals based on priority including pulling those from the local shelter, strays, and abused/neglected animals.  All pets are placed on a proper diet while in foster care and receive behavioral & medical help when needed.

We strive to educate the community on small animal needs so that everyone has the opportunity to give their pet the best care possible!

Carol’s Ferals

Ferals and Kittens and Cats Oh My is a 501(c)3 charitable organization. Our mission is to address the stray, abandoned, unwanted companion and feral cat dilemma in the city of Rochester, NY, and to put an end to needless euthanasia because of shelter overpopulation.

We work in coordination with clinics to spay and neuter feral cats in order to reduce the feral cat population. We work with shelters and rescue groups to help find homes for kittens, abandoned friendlies, and injured cats. We are also advocates for the city cats and refer city residents to resources to spay/neuter their pets.
